I agree. But let's not forget things like animal neglect and the poor condition some of these animals live in. I've watched on the Animal Planet when there were animals just left behind when the owners were gone. It can scar these animals for life. Animal -*test*-('")ing is also not good. Of course, the majority of chemical products are being -*test*-('")ed on common nuisance animals like rats and mice. There are companies who don't do their -*test*-('")ing on animals--most likely on other people or using pH sticks.

See, I don't carry diseases. You don't carry diseases. Most people don't carry diseases. And the ones that do, get theirs treated as best they can. Not too many people volunteer freely for -*test*-('")ing, which is why some companies do their -*test*-('")ing on the rats and mice. Have a look here. Ever wonder why nobody thinks twice about killing rats and mice? Especially wild rats and field mice? Well, this site gives a rather comprehensive look at diseases rats carry (AND transmit to humans--see the maroon text). And most likely explains why we don't give a second thought to killing them, and worry when kids decide to have them as pets.

i totally agree with you kmkarma.mice and rats are animals too.they need to be taken care of just as much as dogs and cats.an animal is an animal no matter what type it is.
